November 18-19, 2013 GLOBE CAP staff in partnership with teachers and students from Oakland High School and Pinole Valley High School participated in the 1st Annual STEM Symposium by hosting a table at the Share Fair presenting a one-hour workshop.

On October 17, 2013 GLOBE CAP hosted a data visualization and analysis workshop in partnership with the Chabot Space and Science Center. Attendees and presenters included 18 teachers, 2 high school students, 3 Graduate Students and Professor Cohen from the University of California Berkeley Chemistry Department, as well as GLOBE CAP and Chabot staff. Activities included guided tutorials of the web-based GLOBE data visualization tool and BEACON sensor data along with a demonstration in the planetarium of global wind patterns' dispersion of gas and air particulates around the world.
